Instead of joining the goldrush to ‘possibly’ make their fortune in Broken Hill and Kalgoorlie, Abraham, the first Australian Silbert, and business partner Joe Sharp had the boldness to develop a large merchant business. The extent of their entrepreneurship will surprise. In 1900, he brought out his two halfnephews, Solomon and Barney, who followed suit conducting numerous businesses.
