8 March - Judy Rees

Judy has always had a love of gardening since growing up in England as her mother was an avid gardener, and in the summer her garden was always full of colourful flowers and delicious vegetables, grown in her green house.

In 2013 Judy trained as a Kings Park volunteer walking guide, taking international and interstate visitors through Western Australia’s botanic garden, proudly showing off our beautiful trees, plants and flowers, together with stories of our history both before and after European settlement.  Her duties also include working in the Information Centre.

Judy will speak about being a volunteer guide, the training, the research required to take a walk, the social side of being a guide and the highlight of the year, the Kings Park Spring Festival.
