As a country girl from NZ, turned Australian 24 years ago Phillippa has never lost her love for the country and gumboots. She loves travelling to remote areas for work and can often be found in Gabriella (Toyota Bus) and leaving cities behind her.

Phillippa is a high-energy businesswoman who has worked across 4 industries with over 20 years of facilitation experience in Aviation, the Wine Industry, Youth at risk and prisons. After building a successful wine wholesale business with over $3M in annual turnover, she sold it after witnessing 3 generations drinking her wine in a public park at 9 o’clock in the morning.

She has always questioned the status quo and has a colourful breath of challenging experiences to draw from, which led her on an unexpected journey to understand mental health not just intellectually but personally. After working with at-risk youth for 2 ½ years and reaching over 740 participants, her own personal challenges caught up with her and she redirected her focus on empowering as many people as possible to be confident in giving mental health first aid to friends, family, peers and strangers.

Phillippa’s captivating style leads the workshop participants on a journey of discovery. Her passion for breaking down the stigma of mental health leaves you in no doubt about why she’s well equipped to facilitate Mental Health First Aid and to help individuals to understand why they must put their own mental health first.
