Mike started to learn to fly in 1970 whilst still at school at Swanbourne High. He completed his Commercial license in 1972, and aquired his first job in Kalgoorlie in the same year. In 1973 he joined Trans West, which subsequently became Sky West, now absorbed into Virgin Regional. In 1974 he joined TAA, which morphed into Australian Airlines in 1986.
In 1990 Mike spent 10 months with MAS - Malaysian Airlines, prior to joining Emirates in 1991.
After a 28 year career with EK the beckoning of the beaches and the bush became too consuming. He has now downsized considerably, flying drones with Surf Life Saving WA at N Cott SLSC. And when the borders eventually open up internationally, he hopes to resume his balloon flying, which is Austria centric (that's the one without kangaroos!).
This will be largely a Q7A session. After a brief into, Mike would like to answer your questions, being the best way for you to get what you want from the session.
So please forward me any Qs you have. Im assuming they are going to be primarily Dubai, Emirates and A380 centric?! I suggest you email me at email@example.com and include Q&A-FLY in the Subject line.
